The Winter Olympics
6SC presented their Form Assembly all about the Winter Olympics. From its first event in 1924 which featured16 countries, through to today with more than 90 countries competing, the group gave us an informative overview of some of the events.
There were some great demonstrations with the class parading through the Sports Hall with their flags to show us the Opening ceremony followed by a very innovative Curling display! The groups explained some of the popular events such as downhill and slalom skiing, figure skating, speed skating, ice hockey, snowboarding and bobsleigh talking through the different skills, equipment and uniform required for each event. They even had Mr Symonds old bobsleigh kit from when he was part of Team GB at the Winter Olympics!
The class finished their Assembly by outlining the Olympic values of Excellence, respect and friendship and how these relate to the Moulsford values. It was an excellent Assembly which was enjoyed by parents and the rest of the school.
