Six Nations Anthems
The pupils in 6Sm treated their parents and the rest of the school to an Assembly all about Six Nations anthems. Taking each country at a time, we learnt about the history, culture and meaning behind each anthem and then the group led us in a rendition of each one. The audience were pretty good at the English, Scottish and Irish anthems, made an admirable attempt at the French and Italian but needed the expertise of 6Sm who showed us how it was done when they sung the Welsh anthem!
It was a fabulous Assembly delivered with humour, confidence and some great singing!
