People Who Help Us
As part of our People Who Help Us theme, the Bobcats were visited by the fire officers and fire engine from Goring station. They were given a tour of the truck, shown all the equipment and were allowed to climb on board. Miss Dawes even got to try on the protective fire clothes!
Most importantly they learned 3 very important rules:
1. Get out
2. Stay out
3. Call for help, 999
We were lucky that the siren was on quiet mode because it was very noisy when Fire Officer Cargen switched it to loud!
After the visit the children were inspired in different ways to engage with the resources in the classroom.
