As I write, the excitement and anticipation around the school is palpable for Moulsford’s Got Talent which takes place this evening. Now that the marquee is down I’ve had a grandstand seat for the rehearsals which have been directly outside my office window. The two sets of prospective parents who visited me this morning thoroughly enjoyed being serenaded by heavy rock, although I did have to close my window so we could be heard!

This afternoon, I had the great pleasure of giving the Year 8 boys their Common Entrance results, underneath the tree overlooking the river. This was such a special occasion and I am delighted to report that, collectively, the boys have done exceptionally well. In addition to these excellent results, this year group have also gained a broad range of scholarships and awards to their future senior schools – please see my previous blog for details. Huge congratulations to our Year 8s, who, between them, will graduate to a total of 16 different senior schools, which is testament to the broad range of choice that our families have in deciding upon the next stage of the educational journey beyond Moulsford.

The annual Moulsford RAC Sporting Lunch is one of the many ways by which we forge very close links with our future schools for the benefit of Moulsford families, and at last year’s event we hosted 30 staff from 14 different senior schools. I am delighted to announce that the 2025 RAC Lunch will take place on Friday 14th November. The event will again be hosted by David Flatman, with Andy Powell as the guest speaker.
