A successful afternoon of transition
It was a hot and sunny afternoon as the Year 2 and 3 children who gathered on the front field for a fun afternoon of cricket. This event was organised to help the transition from Pre-Prep to the Prep school, allowing pupils to meet some of their new Games staff and giving parents a chance to connect with the teachers who will guide their children through Year 3.
The children were divided into mixed groups and competed a carousel of activities with each game focusing on the essential skills of batting, bowling, and fielding. There was some amazing cricket on display and the parents were treated to some spectacular catches and impressive fielding and strong work with the bat.
This transition event was not just about cricket; it was about building connections and confidence as the children got to know future classmates and Games staff, forging friendships and gaining a sense of familiarity with their new environment.
We can’t wait to welcome Year 2 to the Prep School and are grateful to their Year 3 guides for being great role models on the day.
